One thing I love about Copenhagen is that there is always some weird, new place to try, whether you’re going for food, cocktails or dessert. There’s always a new little place that someone with passion and drive decided to start out of the blue, and those or often the places I like best. One of those gems is ice cream bar Olufs Is, located on a picturesque side street to the busy Østerbrogade. Olufs Is isn’t just another ice cream bar where you get to pick 1, 2 or 3 scoops of ice cream. Instead, you get to pick one ice lolly out of the many delicious ones made on a daily basis. The majority of the ice lollies are made from milk, but there’s also a selection of sorbet ice creams to choose from. The place is very small, but you can have your ice lolly to go and sit on one of the shop’s benches or walk to Fælledparken, which is only a short walk away.
The queues can get quite long during sunny summer days, but trust me – it’s worth it!
